Reviews: Natasha in Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812 at San Jose Playhouse
“While the strength of the production is a heartwarming ensemble cast that engages with interesting movement and stage business, it is the females who drive the story and steal the scenes. Aisenberg carries the weight of 1812 aristocratic Russia on her petitely powerful shoulders, delving into all aspects of a Tolstoy heroine, full of wistfulness through bouts of immolation…. The musical, which is fully sung through over the course of 2½ hours, is a fantastic vehicle for the talents of Aisenberg and her counterparts.” - David John Chávez (chair of the American Theatre Critics Association and served as a juror for the 2022 Pulitzer Prize for Drama), The Mercury News
“The heart of the show is Aisenberg, gifted with an irresistible radiance and a gorgeous voice that sounds unnervingly (and not in a bad way) like that of a Disney heroine.” - Michael J. Vaughn
